Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- for the paste
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp hot chilli powder
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tbsp muscovado sugar
- 1 small dried ancho chilli, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 ground black pepper
- 100 ml coca cola
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 250g heinz tomato ketchup
Instructions
- heat oil in saucepan and fry garlic until fragrant
- in a bowl mix ingredients for the paste and add to the garlic and mix through for a few seconds and add the coca cola, stir until well mixed
- add mustard, red wine vinegar and ketchup and simmer for 10 minutes until thickened
- transfer to sterilised jar and store in refridgerator
